A September Day

Today, I made a conscious effort to give Joseph a break
from his regular daytime computer marathon.
And if the mad hatter could have a tea party even if he's not a girl, then Joseph would have one, too. We called it cappuccino-tea party with pals. Crackers and cheese also served.

We also bowled using a foam ball and some plastic cups. I got the idea of using the plastic cups from one of Sky/Sheila's old blogs.

Then , Joseph and his Nana watched a movie. I think they both liked it.
Here, Joseph wimpy-fied himself.

Joseph ended the day by cooling off in the swing.
Of course, he still managed to squeeze in some computer time in between.
After all, the Fair will be gone from Club Penguin by tomorrow.

And on a different note, "Where were you when the world stopped turning, that September day?"

I was working in a developmental center at the time. We heard that a plane hit one of the World Trade towers and most of us took it for granted that it was just a small plane that lost control. By the time I got to the group home for a meeting, it was all over the news. Someone turned off the TV so that we could proceed with the meeting. And all I could think of was: how could we continue doing this mundane thing when the world just changed? And for many days after that day, the news and all the stories of the people who got killed consumed me. It was hard to believe that bad things could happen in our own backyard. Of course, now I know better.

  2. Guess what. Jojo? I was cheering against the Vikings. You see, neither Drew nor I care about football and I knew it would be exciting for you and your family if your team won.
I sure wish I could get Drew interested in using the computer like you do. He seems to be content just watching videos that his brother selects:(
