Audubon Zoo and Etc. Part 2 Or "When are you going to update the blog?"

I am posting these other photos from our short trip to New Orleans by request (demand) of a persistent 7-year old boy.  While I am very proud of the fact that Joseph is now reading on his own, I now feel that I have to be more careful about what I write here.  Joseph visits this blog on his own and reads it.  Actually, he loves to look at the pictures and videos posted here.  During the past week he frequently checked if I had updated it or posted any pictures.  There has not been anything remarkable to blog about and so I'll just post these photos.

This gorilla defines "aloofness."

While at the zoo, Joseph insisted that we visit the Dinosaur exhibit.
And so Mommy pushed the wheelchair grudgingly
for what felt like miles of extreme heat and humidity...
only for Joseph to decide that he didn't like it after all.
He got scared of the sounds from the animatronics.

The other passion that unites Brady and me, aside from our love for Joseph,
FOOD.

I took a picture of the Crescent City Connection,
the bridge over the Mississipi River, that connects
New Orleans to the Westbank.

Joseph with his favorite friends.  Waiting for the van so we could go home.

I took a picture of the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge on our way home.
This was the reason why they had to open both the Bonne Carre and
the Morganza spillways.  See how high the river was creeping up the
levee?  Thank God, it didn't turn as badly as predicted.

And that's about it.
