Reconnecting...

After four years, I have finally decided to blog again.  Not to get an audience or following, but to help me look back and remember since I have been more and more forgetful.  It is also really nice to have pictures to go with the memories.  And so I begin by looking back to the start of this year, or how Brady, Joseph, and I welcomed 2017.

I got some ideas from Pinterest, of course, on different activities for New Year's Eve, such as New Year's Eve countdown using these balloons that you could pop at certain times, which told Joseph what activity he could be doing at that time.

Brady helped Joseph pop each balloon at its allotted time.

Activities included: TASTING.  In this case, Joseph wanted shrimp with different choices of dip.

Then we had to use some photo props, sort of our own PHOTO BOOTH.

We also did a VIDEO CALL with my side of the family in the Philippines.

And because Joseph was not particularly fond of fireworks, we had to improvise our own NOISE-MAKING ACTIVITY by having him drive over bubble wrap placed on the floor.

Mac was also up to welcome the New Year.

I don't remember how we got introduced to this beverage, but it is now my favorite alcoholic drink.  Not that I can handle to much of it.

And that's what we did a year ago to welcome this about to be departed year.  More flashbacks of the past year, and past four years to come....
