Another Birthday

I spent a quiet, relaxing birthday with this little boy yesterday.

And his Daddy sent me these:

My birthday wish: To have many, many more birthdays to spend with this boy and his Daddy. 

On a different note, I didn't get the chance to post anything last week.  I really wanted to write about the exciting weekend that Joseph had.  Club Penguin had the Puffle Party beginning last weekend.  One of the penguin characters, Cadence - the DJ, stopped by the Nightclub on different servers.  It took time and patience, and a lot of logging on and off to get to different servers to look and wait for Cadence.

This is Cadence.

At one point, Joseph's penguin avatar - liltechie was on the same server as Cadence but he couldn't get through the Club because it was packed.  He was very disappointed.  The following night, he got lucky: Cadence came to the Nightclub he was in!

It was very amusing to see all these kids(penguins) get excited and follow this DJ penguin everywhere in the Club.  I couldn't even see my little penguin (liltechie).

There were so many penguins crowding around Cadence that Joseph/liltechie could not get close.


Joseph was very happy to get a Cadence background for his penguin, and a Cadence stamp for his stampbook.  You've got to be familiar with Club Penguin to feel this kind of excitement.  And to be honest, I was as excited as Joseph.  It's not often that you get to be around a celebrity, even if it were a penguin.

And on the same weekend, Joseph's car - Precious Rollingwheel on Disney Pixar World of Cars Online was featured in the Crews News blog.

Yeah, I think I might be having too much fun playing Joseph's games online myself.  I must be having my midlife crisis...

Jojo Is Now Six Years Old!

Jojo did not have a party or a birthday cake today. He spent most of the day in the van watching his DVD while his Daddy and I lamented about the traffic and the rain. But the traffic and the rain did not dampen the spirit of our big boy. He waited patiently until we got to Cabela's. Then he just drove around and checked out the stuffed animals on display. He wasn't sure that we were in Cabela's until he saw the polar bear and then the elephant display.

What's a day in the life of a SMA child if not interrupted by cough assist sessions? We coughed Jojo 2x on the way to Baton Rouge, had to use the ambu bag in Cabela's once to help bring up his O2 sat, and had to use the cough assist again plus a breathing treatment on our way home.

We got back too late to pick up his cake (we left home late and had a couple of stops before Cabela's,) so Jojo just "had" a caramel sundae. He also opened one present. And as tired as he was, he still stayed up until after 11pm.
