A Break From The Planet

Joseph took a day-off from playing LBP today.  He watched some Nickelodeon shows, checked out
the new island in Poptropica and visited the Moshi Monsters, Webkinz and  Club Penguin websites.
He saw a couple of fun ideas in Webkinz that we ended up doing this afternoon.

The blueberry bumper car idea that one of the Webkinz members submitted:

He insisted on shooting a video of his bumper car, so here it is:

We also made a Webkinz hockey game, another idea from a Webkinz member.
Platypus versus polar bear, with camel officiating the game.

Joseph also played stuff toys with Nana, which he really enjoyed.  Then the three of us, Joseph, Nana and I, played a card game - Old Maid.  Joseph ended up with the Old Maid card 2 out of 3x.  He was not thrilled about that.  And that's our Sunday.  Now we're just waiting on his Daddy to get home and watch the Cowboys play.

A Better Weekend

We enjoyed a really nice day Sunday. It was a little chilly, but warm out in the sun. With two shirts and his Daddy's wool socks on, Jojo was ready to look for signs of spring.

With Jojo sitting reclined in his wheelchair, he had a good view of the sky overhead and of the planes crisscrossing and leaving vapor trails behind.

No pretty signs of spring yet: just clover and dandelion seedheads. Jojo whispered a wish as he tried to blow at the seeds. He wished for...a four-leaf clover.

Jojo: Did you find a four-leaf clover, Mommy?
Me: No.
Jojo: Can I taste this?
Me: No.

Jojo: I had a great day.
Me: Really?
Jojo: Yeah, I got to taste some soup today.
Me: That's it?
Jojo: Well, I played pretend that I had my own show. Then Nana played Rocky the robot truck with me.
Me: And you read for Nana.
Jojo: That was a long book. Then GinGin and DeeDee Allen came.

The vapor trails overhead made some geometric lines as we headed back to the house. Then Jojo ended his day by watching Kangaroo Jack on Cartoon Network.

Rainy Sunday

It rained almost the whole day Sunday. Luckily, the lightning and thunder stayed away from us. We stayed inside for most of the day, but once the rain stopped later in the afternoon we stepped outside for a little bit. Jojo wanted me to turn on the water hose, supposedly to clean the driveway of debris. Then I realized he just wanted to drive back and forth underneath the arc of water.
Tonight, before he went to bed, his Daddy wanted him to listen to a new song. And before I knew it, he started "singing" with his Dad.
