We had a very good Christmas this year, and this might be the best one so far. Nothing spectacular happened, just the regular and ordinary things that people in the non-SMA world, I assume, take for granted. Jojo was relatively healthy despite some junk in his nose. Brady was home for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. And I was in a good place/frame of mind, even when I had to work half a day on Christmas Eve and come home (at almost 3pm after running some late errands) to a harried husband. But everything turned out fine. We had family and some of Brady's friends over for snacks and drinks. Jojo wanted to have a party, so we sort of had one. He said good night to everyone after 9pm after we convinced him that he needed to go to bed early for Santa to come, and after he had his Dad put out chocolate milk and cookies for Santa.
On Christmas morning, we took Jojo to the living room to see what Santa gave him. He really liked Rocky the robot truck, but was not sure about the MiniVox robot. He also liked the zhu zhu (hamster) pet that Santa put in his stocking in lieu of the live one he asked for. After opening the other presents, we went to Nana's house. Jojo saw the two younger kids in the family, 1-year old Chloe and her 1-month old sister Brooklyn. All Jojo wanted was to open some more presents, but he waited until it was time and even got to taste some food.
When we got back home, we played with some of his presents. He said that he had a good Christmas this year. He even sang some Christmas carols to himself while getting ready for bed.
